The art of telling a story is my passion. Every single person we meet has a unique story to tell. So many have stories to tell that can and will help and educate others. My approach to storytelling is simple – the person whose story is being told is the focus. My aim is to help the individual, community or organisation I am working with in that particular moment to share their story through still or moving image. It is not about stamping my style or my take on their story, it is about collaborating to tell their story in their words and images. My job is to allow the story to take center place, to bring it to life capturing colour, emotion and detail using images. As you browse my International Development portfolio I hope you will be taken on a journey, through these examples, and will feel the depth behind each individual photographed.
I work closely with a range of third sector and faith based groups to create the stills and video they need for their organisations. I am based in Scotland’s Central Belt, just outside Edinburgh, if you are looking for a photographer for an event or perhaps to publicise your organsiation then I’d love to from you, please do get in touch and we can start a conversation. It doesn’t commit you in any way but allows for us to get a feel for one another and if your organisation and my photography would be a good collaboration.
Perhaps you are looking for something a bit more light hearted. Images that take you to a place you once knew or to a place you wish you could see. If so then I’d encourage you to check out my landscape portfolio. All my Landscape images are for sale and are perfect for gifts or perhaps to treat yourself. If you have seen an image on one of my Social Media channels that you don’t see on this website for sale, please get in touch and we can get prints organised for you.
Covid-19 has radically changed the approach for photographers like me who travel and connect with communities nationally and internationally. Even in times of a pandemic we know that all the problems that once were still remain and imaginably are now even more urgent as a result. I really would like to come alongside you to work together with fresh and innotive ideas of how photography can still capture the story that needs to be told and how lives can be impacted more positively as a result.
I look forward to speaking with you.
